Mechanical Gremlins Take Jordan Latimer Out of Contention at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Showing speed earlier in the day, mechanical issues would see Jordan Latimer’s super stock feature cut short at Sunset Speedway.

Latimer was fast in his qualifying heat, making his way to the lead. However, it would not last as he was spun a couple laps later. Restarting at the tail of the field, he made his way back up to third-place by the checkered. He then backed it up with a sixth in the second heat.

Starting 12th in the feature, he would break into the top-10 by the first caution at Lap 15. Restarting on the fifth row, he would look to continue making ground. However, he would ultimately head down pit road through the middle portion of the feature, with engine issue staking the No. 90 out of the running.

Thanks to DDC contracting, Belmar roofing, RIM mechanical, Creecher’s Design, Kreuger Electric, and Store Front Awnings and Signs for all the support of the Latimer Brothers.

Special thanks to Craig Ellis for the opportunity.

Latimer Brothers Kick Off Season with Strong Start at Peterborough Speedway

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — After a long busy off-season, the Latimer brothers were able to get their season started at Peterborough Speedway on Saturday night.

Jordan Latimer’s first outing this season with his Late Model proved to be successful. He placed fourth in his first qualifying race despite being stuck on the outside, followed by picking up the checkered flag in the second. He then had a strong run in the feature, finishing in the runner-up spot despite having to restart from the tail of the field twice.

Zach Latimer’s first outing with his Legend did not start off smoothly, with contact with the wall during practice. The team worked hard to make the necessary repairs, allowing Latimer to run both of his heats with finishes of ninth and eighth. The rookie made the most of the feature, gaining experience with each lap on the track and making some passes en route to a 15th-place finish.

Thanks to DDC contracting, Belmar roofing, RIM mechanical, Creecher’s Design, and Store Front Awnings and Signs for all the support in helping to get Jordan Latimer on track this weekend.

Jordan Latimer Scores Top-Five Finish at Sauble Speedway

SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — Running up front at Sauble Speedway, Jordan Latimer held on to score a top-five finish on Saturday night.

Qualifying sixth for the first feature, he’d fall back through the event a little, crossing the finish line with an eighth-place finish. Starting up front for the second feature, he’d battle up front throughout the event, holding off a late-charge from behind to score a third-place finish.

It marks a solid turn-around after the team experienced a string of bad luck throughout the summer of the schedule as they return back to their flavor of top-five finishes that they started off their campaign at the beach.

Latimer will get his next chance at Sauble Speedway for a strong run on September 8 as that marks the next night of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model competition.

JL Motorsports is proud to be supported by DDC General Contracting, RIM Chassis, KICX 106, 104.1 The Dock, WIX Filters, Creechers Design, Kruger’s Electrical Service, Tax-$mart, Marvin Freiburger & Sons Inc., and Hazlett Trucking.

Jordan Latimer Hopeful to Put Bad Luck Behind Him

SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — After having a couple rough weeks at Sauble Speedway, JL Motorsports is hopeful that the end of July will bring a strong run to the end of the season.

Last weekend, Jordan Latimer did not have the night he was expecting as the team struggled to find a handle on the No. 90 Late Model. They didn’t give up, though, as ‘The Little Gambler’ was running fourth in the second feature when he got the toe knocked out, fading back to eighth by the checkered flag.

The struggles of last Saturday caught many by surprise as the team had shown the capability of winning, virtue of leading laps a couple weeks prior, along with a string of top-five performances. That’s why despite the recent bad luck, Latimer is still holding faith that the team will get it turned around as soon as possible.

Latimer will get his next chance at Sauble Speedway for a strong run on July 28 as that marks the next night of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model competition.

JL Motorsports is proud to be supported by DDC General Contracting, RIM Chassis, KICX 106, 104.1 The Dock, WIX Filters, Creechers Design, Kruger’s Electrical Service, Tax-$mart, Marvin Freiburger & Sons Inc., and Hazlett Trucking.
