Jordan Latimer Runs into Mechanical Issues at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Showing a lot of speed for the second straight appearance, Jordan Latimer would fail to finish the feature as a result of mechanical issues.

Latimer started off the night well, making a three-wide move during his first heat en route to scoring a second-place finish, just mere inches behind the race winner. He then backed it up with a fifth-place finish in the second qualifier.

Starting ninth in the feature, he began to make his way forward, moving up into the sixth spot by the ninth lap. However, his strong run came to an end on Lap 15 when he slowed with a mechanical problem. It turned out that a wiring issue would keep the No. 90 from contending on Saturday night.

Thanks to DDC contracting, Belmar roofing, RIM mechanical, Creecher’s Design, Kreuger Electric, and Store Front Awnings and Signs for all the support of the Latimer Brothers.

Special thanks to Craig Ellis for the opportunity.

Zach Latimer Goes Through Spin Cycle at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Zach Latimer would compete in his first ever Canadian Legends Nationals this past weekend at Sunset Speedway, but it would not go smoothly as hoped.

Following Saturday’s qualifying, Latimer would start deep in the field for the first feature, and experienced a rough beginning as he was caught up in an incident with another driver on Lap 2. Restarting from the tail of the field, he would begin to make up some ground through the pack, though ran into trouble with a spin in turn four on Lap 20.

Restarting once again at the tail of the field, he’d begin to make up ground once again, crossing the finish line in the 17th position.

As a result, he would be forced to the run b-main ahead of the second main event, which he would score a ninth-place finish.

Starting 19th for the second feature, he would look to make his way forward, though would come together with a fellow driver in turn two on Lap 13. Restarting at the tail of the field, he’d make his way up to 17th before the feature was called at just 17 laps of 30 complete due to rain.

Thanks to DDC contracting, Belmar roofing, RIM mechanical, Creecher’s Design, Kreuger Electric, and Store Front Awnings and Signs for all the support of the Latimer Brothers.

Special thanks to Legger’s Motorsports and ICI Heavy Hauling for their support of Zach Latimer’s Ontario Legends Series debut season.

Mechanical Gremlins Take Jordan Latimer Out of Contention at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — Showing speed earlier in the day, mechanical issues would see Jordan Latimer’s super stock feature cut short at Sunset Speedway.

Latimer was fast in his qualifying heat, making his way to the lead. However, it would not last as he was spun a couple laps later. Restarting at the tail of the field, he made his way back up to third-place by the checkered. He then backed it up with a sixth in the second heat.

Starting 12th in the feature, he would break into the top-10 by the first caution at Lap 15. Restarting on the fifth row, he would look to continue making ground. However, he would ultimately head down pit road through the middle portion of the feature, with engine issue staking the No. 90 out of the running.

Thanks to DDC contracting, Belmar roofing, RIM mechanical, Creecher’s Design, Kreuger Electric, and Store Front Awnings and Signs for all the support of the Latimer Brothers.

Special thanks to Craig Ellis for the opportunity.

Latimer Brothers Kick Off Season with Strong Start at Peterborough Speedway

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — After a long busy off-season, the Latimer brothers were able to get their season started at Peterborough Speedway on Saturday night.

Jordan Latimer’s first outing this season with his Late Model proved to be successful.
