Mechanical Gremlins Take Jordan Latimer Out of Contention at Sunset Speedway
INNISFIL, Ontario — Showing speed earlier in the day, mechanical issues would see Jordan Latimer’s super stock feature cut short at Sunset Speedway.
Latimer was fast in his qualifying heat, making his way to the lead. However, it would not last as he was spun a couple laps later. Restarting at the tail of the field, he made his way back up to third-place by the checkered. He then backed it up with a sixth in the second heat.
Starting 12th in the feature, he would break into the top-10 by the first caution at Lap 15. Restarting on the fifth row, he would look to continue making ground. However, he would ultimately head down pit road through the middle portion of the feature, with engine issue staking the No. 90 out of the running.
Thanks to DDC contracting, Belmar roofing, RIM mechanical, Creecher’s Design, Kreuger Electric, and Store Front Awnings and Signs for all the support of the Latimer Brothers.
Special thanks to Craig Ellis for the opportunity.
